Well, I would have had more goodies to show you...but by the time I got home from work the sun was setting- drats! My photos turned out horrible. Here is a sneak peek. I made some cute little earring charms, new teeny bird pairs and tree ornaments. I know it is waaaay to early to be thinking christmas. But every year I run out around the holidays and I am starting early this year! These will be in my shop soon.

Our BIG project this summer is almost finished!!! We purchased our first home last January and have spent the summer working our bums off on the exterior. New roof, siding, we opened up the porch....and the list goes on and on. We did a lot of the work ourselves and we love how it is turning out!

New designs in my shop! I had a great Labor day, I hope you did too!

new glaze test

Friday, September 3, 2010

I ordered a sample set of frank's celedon glazes a couple weeks ago and got to try them out for the first time. Normally celedons really aren't my thing...but I thought it would be fun to try layering them. All of these pendants have coyote glazes (mostly shinos) on the bottom and the celedons layered over top. I love the speckly effect this had! I think I might save these combinations for next years spring line. I actually wrote down the combinations...a rare occurrence for me...so if you are curious, drop me a line! Enjoy :)

new arrivals

I unloaded the kiln just hours ago! Here are some of my new keyhole designs. I have oodles of new autumn designs just waiting to be uploaded to my etsy shop. Here is a peek :)

New glaze. I think it is just perfect for these keyholes. It is a crusty matte white with areas of gray and aqua. It actually looks like old paint!

Teeny aqua jars...my first take at these. The color isn't quite right...but I think they are charming anyway. I've got some glaze ideas for next time. I was originally going to put decals on these to make them look even more like vintage ball jars. But now I dont know....thoughts?

I have an obsession with vintage aqua ball jars. I love them. I hoard them. and now I have them in miniature :)

More pictures coming soon!!!
