Art Lesson- tiny ceramic villages

Friday, July 30, 2010

I just had to show these off because I think they turned out so cute! I did this lesson with 3-5 graders over 3, one and a half hour class periods. The teeny houses were built from clay and painted with acrylics. The shadow boxes were made of cardboard and were collaged with new and vintage papers. We talked alot about color harmony and how artists choose the colors they use in their art.

  1. Oh how cute! I love these! I have been dying to have little house beads for some time. Any chance you do that or will? I have found some great ones on Etsy but the sellers either don't do them as small beads or won't even consider it. Just a thought...
    Enjoy the day!
